Mission

Indus Institute will emerge as a leading provider of student-centred education, valuing sustainability, and providing opportunities for individuals from a range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. In doing so, Indus Institute will:

  • Be regarded by alumni for our excellent teaching practice.
  • Be regarded by student recruitment agents as a provider of supportive student services.
  • Be regarded by industry as a trusted pipeline for graduate staff appointments.
  • Be regarded by staff as an employer of choice.
  • In meeting cultural and socio-economic background targets, Indus Institute will:
  • Have a mix of both mature age and school leaver students, with neither cohort exceeding 70% of the student mix.
  • Provide scholarships of at least a 20% reduction in course fees to students, or a scholarship covering textbooks for all courses, to at least 2% of students who have cited concerns over ability to fulfil scheduled fee payments or expressed financial hardship.

Until Bachelor programs are introduced in mid 2017, Indus Institute will support students in articulation to tertiary education with preferred providers.
